bedroom re-vamp

I recently signed a new lease and will begin the moving process once again. Moving is probably my least favorite activity ever, so I decided to collect some bedroom inspiration to get into the spirit. The bedroom I'm going to be moving into is a little on the small side, but it has hardwood floors and a good amount of natural light. I'm picturing something chic and monotone with pops of color and vintage. I plan on documenting my decorating process along the way so stay tuned!

three forks camping trip

For my 24th birthday my friend Lexi and I camped out for the weekend in Three Forks, a quiet little spot next to the Appalachian Trail in North Georgia. We set up camp right when we got there as it was raining, and with just a belly full of potato chips we set out on a four hour hike. It was wet and overcast but it was perfect. I brought along my Nikon FM2 and shot these photos and I'll admit it was really nice to switch over to using film again. I love going out and shooting with this girl because one of us always has some kind of camera in our hand. We're both up for modeling for each other, or asking one another for feedback on how to achieve the image we want. It's kind of rare to find a friend who pushes you creatively. It was a great birthday and it left me thankful for my friend and all of the future adventures we will share together.

What I wore one rainy weekday out. Had I known it was going to start pouring rain I probably would've picked my outfit differently, but that's the beauty of a summer rain catching you by surprise. This day was spent running around the city doing errands, followed by spicy thai tacos and watching Trainwreck at the matinee, a pretty ideal day to me. I've been thinking it's time to change things up, maybe color my hair? In between seasons I always get the urge to change things up. We will see...
